Make a list!

Well we just had another meeting around the old kitchen table yesterday. Got a lot of items hashed out. We have a great company in line to donate our flight suits! We have drawn out the area of the event and exact number of support staff we will have. Put some signs on our vehicles to start the word around town. As you can see by the counter on the blog we have just over 212 days til the big day and I have a feeling the time will fly-by. If you tell people to Google "hopping4hospice" they will get a link to this page and if they hit the Google MAP button it will give them the location of the event.......Take care.

So many wonderful words from anyone who finds out about this event! I had no idea how many lives have been and are being touched by Hospice. This is going to be a life changing event for me and all who are involved I think.

Still moving forward towards the big day. I have contacted some media to see what they think of covering the event...so far they are excited. I have contacted the Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce and we are on there event calendar! Town of Oak Island has been contacted and will help as much as they can. We have signs on order to be placed on our vehicles to advertise the jumps.

And IT begins!

We have just recieved our first donation via the Blog page. A wonderful friend of ours, who is also in the Air Force, Was kind enough to donate! Please pass the word along.

THE DATE!

The jumps will happen on Saturday 18 September 2010 with a weather delay date of Sunday 19 September 2010.  Keep an eye on the countdown clock above!

The Day!

50 skydives in one day!

We are starting to get some of the items in line for the jumps. We have lined up the two planes and pilots. We have started to get the word out about the event and I am suprised at the people who just say " I want to help.". We have two people ( Errol and Greg) who will re-pack our parachutes. My Wife Tammy and her friend Mel will run the front of the house doing the finance and publicity side. I even have my In-laws running the snack bar!

If anyone has any ideas please chime in. All help is welcome.

We are looking at an idea................let people pay to sponser a teddy bear skydive. We will sell the bears and take them on a skydive. When the event is over the bears will be given out by Hospice to children who need a friend to hug!

Donations

I have placed a PAYPAL donation button on the Blog. I want all to know if they use this way of helping 3% of donation amount and .30 cents for each donation is payed to Paypal for the service. I want everyone to know where all the donations will go.

The money for the airplanes and fuel are comming from Brooks and myself. ALL money you donate will go to Hospice. I give you my word on that.
